Yea they should have been calling runs. But they called passes. So it's on Romo, a veteran quarterback, to protect the ball no matter what. Not throw two 4th quarter picks that lead to the game winning drive, and game ender.
fun game to watch. thought it was over early. nice to see dez walking off the field early crying his way to the locker room romo is romo he throws game ending pics from time to time. hes won his share late in games as well.
I feel for cowboys fans... Crapty, brain-dead coaching. Seriously, how will Garrett be back next year if Dallas doesnt at least make it to playoffs?
How do you lose a 23-point lead? I've been a fan of this team for 50 years and I thought I had seen it all. Until today.
True story. I'm watching the game on Fox with the sound down, and I'm listening to The Fan 105.3 for the audio. Play by play announcer Brad Sham says the Cowboys have NEVER lost a 23-point lead in the history of the franchise. What do you think the very next play is? It's the INT that got overturned. The rest you know.
Apparently Garrett was busy throwing people under the bus after the game. Callahan calls the plays and Romo audibled out of a running play on one of the INTs.
gregg rosenthal @greggrosenthal 19m Garrett on Romo's first INT: "I think he'll be the first one to tell you he probably should have run the ball in that situation." Smart Football @smartfootball 1h Romo INT actually a packaged play: Was a called running play but Romo decided to throw, but then didn't pull trigger on slant.
