People are angry and frustrated and their angst was directed at head coach Jim Schwartz immediately after the Lions' 23-20 overtime loss to the New York Giants Sunday at Ford Field. I wanted to get away from the press box and meet with the flavor of Lion fans Sunday.

Personally, I would like to see them get either Lovie Smith, Ken Whisenhunt, or Mike Zimmer. If anyone deserves a head coaching opportunity, it's Mike Zimmer. He has done an incredible job with the Bengals defense and he would bring that much needed discipline to the Lions. I think Ken Whisenhunt would be another good choice because he can give the offense a jolt and may be able to get Stafford on the right track. Don't forget he took the Arizona Cardinals to the Super Bowl. Lovie Smith is a good choice too. He would be back in the NFC North and has familiarity with the other teams in that division.
