Do You Want A Division Rival To Win The Super Bowl?

    Playoffs are upon us and in a few weeks the participants in the Super Bowl will be decided. Will you pull for a team in the Super Bowl that comes out of your division?

    If I like that team I would. I wouldn't pull for the Ravens, but the Bengals, I could root for depending in who they were playing...

    I hope the SB champ comes out of the NFC West. Hate the Seahawks and Niners, but would like the division to win the prize.

    Anybody but Seattle, I live too deep in their territory to be listening to their already unbelievably irritating fan base chirp about a Super Bowl for a whole year. I'd end up icepicking my own ears.

    The only time I found myself rooting for a division rival was the 2007 giants when they took on the 18-0 Patriots. And I didn't even notice until I found myself celebrating a stop by their defense.

    Other than that situation, I don't think I'd root for a division rival.

    i have a strong dislike for the eagles and the giants,and i flat out hate the cowboys,but winning the super bowl would be good for the nfc east this year,so i hope the eagles win it all.
    regardless of who is in it,i hope we see the best super bowl ever and it is a great game.I Also hope it is played in the snow cause that is how it should be played every year!

    We no longer have animated Smilies for something that's funnier than crap, but if we did, I'd give you a couple for this post. I kind of feel the same way (both of us coming from the NFC West) but if it comes down to the Oceanchicks vs. Philly, Carolina or Indy, I'll put up with Pete Carroll just this once. (God I hope Sweets doesn't read this!)

    Giants? No, they've won 2 already.

    Eagles? HELL, NO!!!!!!!

    Redskins? Wouldn't mind terribly. My aunt is a Redskins fan.

    I found myself in the same situation. I couldn't believe I was rooting for them. I didn't want the Pats to go undefeated though.

    If the circumstances and opponent are right, I guess I can root for a division rival in the SB.

    Not sure if I would be rooting for the Eagles if they made it. I guess I might. I don't really have a "hate" for any team really. I am more a fan of the game than I am a "hater" of some team. /vague answer :p

    I think message boards have made it a bit easier to root for division rivals compared to the old days. When people rip into your conference or division, you tend to get a little more pride in them. At least I have found that I do.
