Miami Herald columnist and ESPN personality Dan Le Batard had his Baseball Writers' Association of America membership removed for one year Thursday after turning over his Hall of Fame vote to Deadspin.

The BBWAA, which the Hall of Fame uses to choose its members, also said Le Batard will not be allowed to vote again.

What a stupid freaking organization, and I'm a journalist myself. Glad LeBatard did what he did.

Seems like they're trying to move the focus from their hecked up stupid system to lebetard's move. The voting for this hof is the worst, which is ironic because they try to sell the Baseball Hall as the most prestigious.

I find it amusing that they banned him for something that other sportswriters do openly every year, outsourcing their vote to their readers in some degree or another.
