Here's the thing about weather forecasts: They like to change. And, believe it or not, weather is never the same. So while we have a recent forecast calling for fairly mild weather, as of Saturday we're now staring at ICE PELLETS and 70 percent chance of precipitation for Super Bowl XLVIII. Additionally, the high, per Weather Underground, is 34 degrees. So that's fun. It's not much better for the day before and after Super Bowl Sunday either. Saturday, Feb. 1, calls for 30 percent precipitation and snow, while Monday, Feb. 3, calls for 50 percent precipitation and snow as well. Weather.com has a slightly different forecast but brings into play the dreaded wintry mix. It's the same basic forecast though, except the 40 percent precipitation at night is a lot more doable than the 60 percent during the day. Cold rain and snow sure sounds fun though. Wintry mix means it could be a combo of snow, freezing rain, rain, etc. Looks like the weekend is starting to look warmer.
Want to see the announcers halftime show. Get a kick when it's so cold that they can't talk right & their noses start to cherry up & run as they go the realism approach with the panel on the field.
Just came from weather.com. On Sunday, the forecast is partly cloudy. High of 37. Low of 24. 20% chance of precipitation.
