The folks at EA Sports have been simulating the Super Bowl with the latest version of their wildly popular Madden NFL franchise for the last 10 years — and the results have been surprisingly accurate. Madden has been 8-2 in picking winners, which might be bad news for Seahawks fans. In the simulation, cornerback Richard Sherman gave Seattle the lead with a pick-six in the second quarter, which left Peyton Manning very unhappy. Denver came back, though, thanks to a passing TD from Peyton Manning and goal-line leap from Knowshon Moreno. The Seahawks rallied late, scoring 18 second-half points, capped by a successful two-point conversion from Russell Wilson, to push the game into overtime. Denver’s Matt Prater was the hero in extra time, hooking a field goal just inside the left post to win the Super Bowl. Source: http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/01/madden-super-bowl-simulation/
A Super Bowl going to OT? I would love to see that. I hope the Broncos win tonight but I will not be stunned IF the Seahawks win.
