I would be giving up Gronk and Ingram in exchange for Phillip Rivers and Andre Johnson. I sent him a note asking him to throw in L. Donatelle but havent heard back. thoughts?
Whats he have available at RB? Rivers would be a really nice upgrade for you at QB, Johnson would be a decent WR 2/3 on your squad, but Ingram is kind of a big hit, especially considering you've got some dissapointingly unproductive RBs. Gronk to Kelce isn't a huge downgrade, might even be an upgrade by the time it's all said and done, but I'd try and get a decent RB back over Donnell if he has anyone worthwhile he'd be willing to part with. Maybe even Gronk + RB rather than Gronk/Johnson.
I am working on an article on how to trade and what to look for, bye weeks, etc. (I am hoping to publish it today. so make sure you check the main site for it) but i fully agree with Walnuts here. There are numerous things to this trade. A) Rivers is a no brainer he is a sure upgrade at your QB position B) Gronk to Kelce isn't a huge downgrade C) Here is where it starts to get tricky, you need to think how often you will start Donnell if he does throw him in. you have Kelce who is off his bye after this week. I can't imagine you starting Donnell that often D) The other thing you got to look at is bye weeks. with Bye weeks in mind your RB situation is a mess Eddie Lacy Bye week 9 Joique Bell bye week 9 Steven Jackson bye week 9 That leaves you with Chris Ivory (if you trade Ingram) E) Johnson will be a great boost during the bye week of Julio (week 9) and Garcon (week 10) Personally I would pass on this trade, and counter exactly like @Walnuts advised, counter with Rivers + RB instead of Andre Johnson. maybe instead of Donnell add a WR3 for the bye week of Garcon and Julio. Again look for my article, later in the day
Because Beckham is back, I think that will eventually hurt Donnell's numbers. Be interesting to see if he puts up another dud this week. I wouldn't go out of my way and ask him to throw him in. Like the guys above said, ask for a low-end WR instead. And giving up Ingram is a big hit since the only two running backs you have who can get you real fantasy points are Lacy and Ivory.
