There are quite a few big games this week and here is another. Can the Lions good defense shut down the stanton-led offense and come away wit a win here? I would think this will be a pretty low scoring affair
I can't remember a weekend with so many great games. NE (7-2)vs. IND (6-3) PHIL (7-2)vs. GB (6-3) SEA (6-3) vs. KC (6-3) DET (7-2)vs. AZ (8-1) Denver exposed the Cardinals secondary (dead last in the NFL for passing yards allowed) and this is the first team since that Denver game that has the ability to really stretch the field. Should Detroit attack the Cards' defense primarily through the air, Stanton or no Stanton, could be a long day for AZ. Who would have ever thought in Week 11 that DET vs. AZ might be the marquee game of the day?
Lions beat the Packers. Cardinals beat the Eagles. Detroit vs. Arizona = Heavyweight Championship. Eagles vs. Packers = Intercontinental Championship.
"Who would have ever thought in Week 11 that DET vs. AZ might be the marquee game of the day?" But it is good to know that only one opinion matters.
Gotta give a lot of respect to the Cards both as a team, and as an organization. Nothing I enjoy watching more than a team that is better as a whole than as the sum of its parts, a coaching staff that enables its players to be that, and a front office that has the vision and ability to put that all together. Really nice work all the way around and congratulations to the fans, thats gotta be a fun ride right now. Its just unfortunate that its the god **mn Cardinals and they play in the god **mn NFC West.
The hire of GM Steve Keim and then his hire of Bruce Arians after the 2012 season was even bigger than I imagined at the time. Between those two and DC Bowles they've created a mindset of extreme confidence without any of the cockiness. To what you said @Walnuts, because of people like them the Cards epitomize the team concept and leave "I" at the door.
The Cardinals are certainly on top of the mountain right now. It will be interesting to see how these last several weeks play out as ariz, sea, and sf play each other a lot.
You said it, @CaptainStubing . It's Like Larry Fitzgerald said on a local TV station last night...."We haven't won anything. They don't hand out trophies for winning 9 games. The only thing we know for sure is that we can finish no worse than 9-7."
