This could be a fun game. I'm surprised the saints continue to be favored against better teams though
With the Ravens victory: Given the QB's in Cincy and Cleveland it's looking like a showdown between the Steelers and the Ravens. This is gonna be fun.
People that keep betting on the saints are losing their asses this season. They just aren't good anymore folks.
Correction, the defense has been ravaged by injuries. Saying "they just aren't good...." isn't a correct statement. Losing all those S in Rob Ryan's defense is a killer and the biggest reason we haven't been able to win four or five close games.
Eh, I think you're making too much of the injuries. They're 4-7. A team should have decent enough depth to at least keep their heads above water with injuries.
Rob Ryan's "I'm going to blitz the living sh!t out of you so try to stop me" scheme is easy to beat once figured out. Even better if the secondary is below average.
Last year was great. They went 11–5 and making the playoffs as the six-seed. They earned the franchise's first-ever road postseason victory, with a 26–24 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card round, ending the drought at 0–5. However, the Saints were eliminated by the Seattle Seahawks in the Divisional round, by a score of 23–15. But remember this was a rainy game and our offense could not execute in the rain.. we scored 15 points in the 4th if I remember correctly and almost had a touch down in the final minute. Great game. This year, not so hot! Not sure it's Rob's fault.. losing all those starters on defense really hurt them. And they have lost a lot of close games.. just how it is....
Who out there would be a better option than Peyton? There's a few coordinators that will be hot commodities after the season is over, but an unknown quantity as a HC. Because of the defensive woes of the Saints Todd Bowles could enter the discussion and probably will be an excellent HC, but who knows.
