I thought these teams would split. No surprise there. Great game though. Ups and downs. Ultimately the cowboys made less mistakes and more plays. Word just came in that foles is not ready yet. the eagles are in trouble if Sanchez doesn't wash the stink off of him.
Tell me if I'm looking at the playoff scenarios the right way. ..... if the eagles tie the Lions, packers, Cardinals, or Seahawks for the last wild card, they will lose the tiebreaker. So, the best chance the eagles have of making the playoffs is to win the division, which can happen by the eagles winning their last 2 and the Cowboys losing one. Is that right?
I believe you're correct. And pretty much same for Cowboys, must win next two games to secure a spot.
No, they don't HAVE to win out. If they don't, though, they need the Eagles to have the same or worse record over the last two games.
There's a scenario in which the Cowboys finish 11-5 and don't reach the playoffs. That would be the most Romo thing ever.
in my view, the best teams deserve the playoffs according to their records.if a team that is 11-5 gets left out and a team with less wins makes it cause of the division deal, that's bullshirt! let the best teams in regardless of whether a division gets left out of it or not.
They switched Williams on to Dez late in the game, but that didn't matter. He can't cover Dez 1-on-1 either. Where was safety help is the bigger question. Billy Davis refused to adjust.
Carey Williams was always a loud mouthed bum...was with the Ravens, is now. Never understood how anyone thought he was good.
It's happened already back when the NFCw was bad and I believe he Rams made the post season with a 7-9 record. I may have the team wrong but I knows it's happensed
Pretty sure the Saints did it at 8-8 too way back in the Bobby Hebert days when we were in the same division. I seem to recall it being a big deal, maybe the first time a team without a winning record getting in?
cowboys made it in at 8-8 under chan gailey, and remember the seahawks made it in and beat the saints a few years back with a 7-9 record. i got no problems with a 500 division winner making the playoffs, but teams below 500 should never make it at theexpense of teams that are 9-7 or like last year's cardinals,10-6. the league needs to find a way to make sure the teams with the best records make the playoffs.if that is at the expense of division winners,so be it.
cowboys gonna really be hurting if murray misses sunday.if the colts do not have to worry about whoever is playing rb other than murray, gonna free up an extra db to cover witten and bryant.bryant was the difference in sunday night's game cause he killed the eagles when they were in man to man coverage, especially when murray was in the game and the put 8 men in the box to stop him.
Dont sleep on Joe Randle. He's been averaging over 5 yards a pop this year and has fresh legs. Its that time of the year where backups can shine because they dont have a season worth of wear and tear on there legs
And the Colts run defense is questionable at best. I think it was New England who ran all over them. We should be fine.
Hey take your Indy game discussion somewhere else. This thread is for talking about how much Sanchez stinks.
