    That 8 minute drive was the backbreaker.

    Not many gave indy much of a chance. They played well and earned it.

    I love the Broncos fans booing their team in the 3rd quarter. Classic.

    I'd think that, sans Lombardi trophy, he'll keep coming back for as long as he's able to hobble out. I don't see how this cannot be viewed as his ultimate chokejob though, and the shiniest example of his overrated-ness as a QB when it matters. Just stupid talent at every position, everyone healthy, zero excuses at all, and he failed to produce yet again.

    Unlike Aaron Rodgers (who threw the saddle on his own back and told the Pack to hop aboard), Manning looked nothing like the leader he had to be for the Broncos to even sniff a possible win. I'll give it up to the Colts D-line for totally overwhelming Denver's O-line, but it just looked like some of the most uninspired playoff football I can remember seeing from such an overwhelming favorite at home.

    @ICECOLD 's meme is more true than not. Peyton's post-season performances completely eliminate him from 'best QB of all time" conversations unless it's for regular season games. He's definitely teetering on being one of the worst QB's in NFL history for post-season play. Just guessin' he'll return for another season (and not care if it's with Denver) to secure being the all-time passing yards leader.

    And then there's the fair-weather Broncos fans. Manning and the other quality free agents should split from Denver because those fans clearly don't deserve a winner after seeing and hearing their brand of "support" for their team when it was needed most. Years of mediocrity would do those assholes some good.

    What I didn't understand, was the Broncos (or Peytons) playcalling. Manning going for the deep pass on 3 downs, just to punt the ball away on 4th, several times. Looks like he was trying to add some passing yards to his records, but not to win this game

    i would say there's a chance he was actually hurt. i would say there is also a chance that 'sources' are putting that out there as an excuse for a horrid performance.

    There have been many that said he was hurt over the past few weeks. It's nothing unexpected. He definitely hasn't looked right.
