Dan Quinn picked a good year to take over in Atlanta. Based on 2014 records, the Falcons will play the easiest schedule in the NFL next season. Of the 16 regular season games Atlanta will play in 2015, only four of those will come against opponents who finished 2014 with a winning record. The Falcons can thank their horrible division for their "easy" strength of schedule: Every team in the NFC South finished the 2014 season with a losing record. The Falcons strength of schedule for 2015 is .409, which beat out the Colts (.417) for the easiest strength of schedule next season. On the other hand, there's the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are going to have to navigate through a difficult schedule if they want to return to the playoffs for the second year in a row. Based on 2014 records, the Steelers will play the toughest schedule in the NFL next season. The Steelers will play a total of nine games against 2014 playoff teams, plus games against the Chiefs and Chargers, who both finished with winning records, but didn't make the playoffs............ That'll show the NFC West what you get for being the top dawg division over the last couple of seasons.
I actually hate this idea of comparing teams 2015 schedule to the 2014 records...it's really irrelevant. Although it worked out well in 2008 when the Steelers had the hardest schedule...soooooooo...
they need to find a better and more fair way to make the schedules.i know they schedule divisions vs divisions, afc vs nfc every year, but they need to find a better way.
Completely agree. Why the NFC West and AFC North have to be penalized in 2015 for kicking the shirt out of people in 2014 is beyond me. I say each team in the NFL selects its baddest motherf--ker on the roster and there's a 32-man bare knuckles tournament. Can't jump to the conclusion that Suh or Incognito will win every year just because they're psychotic, each team will have a suitable combatant.
Excellent choice. I'll nominate Darnell Docket for the Cards' representative. (Where's Conrad Dobler when you need him?)
York would send in Phil Dawson cause he has class and they'd continue their bungling of the organization
