Thanks for posting this, @Mike S. I watched it and couldn't be happier for the PBA Tour and Jason Belmonte. Belmo with the threepeat is remarkable, but Weber at 52 still bowling at such a high level is staggering. I was really wanting Weber to win this one as it's the only major he hasn't won during his career. Kind of hard to believe for the number of Masters he's been in.
Not a problem, markaz. I saw it on the PBA's channel on youtube, and i was hoping pete would win it as well. They are in Indianapolis this week for the Tournament Of Champions. The live 5-bowler stepladder finals will be on ESPN this sunday at 1pm et
PBA Tournament Of Champions Stepladder Finals to be broadcasted live on ESPN @ 1:00 pm et Match 1: #5 Scott Norton vs #4 Sean Rash Match 2: Match 1 Winner vs #3 Ryan Ciminelli Match 3: Match 2 Winner vs #2 Jason Belmonte Championship Match: Match 3 Winner vs #1 Rhino Page
In the majors the No.2 seed wins something like 67% of the time. Belmo two weeks in a row? I'll take it.
Well, jason did it again, winning back to back majors as he successfully defended his TOC title as he defeated Rhino Page in the title match 232-214 Sean Rash threw the 25th 300 game on tv in the 2nd match as he defeated Ryan Ciminelli 300-214 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ PBA ToC Stepladder Finals Match 1: #4 Sean Rash defeated #5 Scott Norton 237-217 Match 2: #4 Sean Rash defeated #3 Ryan Ciminelli 300-214 Match 3: #2 Jason Belmonte defeated #4 Sean Rash 235-203 Championship Match: #2 Jason Belmonte defeated #1 Rhino Page 232-214
Rash was doomed after throwing the perfecto. Not only did he come down from the high but then had to face the best bowler on the planet. What can you say about Belmo? Really sorry to hear Weber crying about Belmo putting his towel on the rack/Weber's ball. But mission accomplished for Belmo...it got into Weber's head.
