We have preseason again!! I was very excited until I remember almost none of the players on the field will even make the team. Oh well...football is football and it starts on thursday with Cowboys vs. Steelers in the HOF game. I'm really curious to see how many snaps will the starters get, if any. Football is back people!! We get at least a game every week from here on out until february!!
Sorry, but...no. Just...no. I'm about to freak out. Dak has barely thrown during camp. Everybody keeps saying his shoulder is "fine", they'll just get an MRI to make sure. I'm sorry, but no. Nobody gets an MRI "just to be sure". Dak is going to IR any minute now...and I'm freaking out. Send help.
Yeah, that does seem a bit off. Hopefully Dak is fine though. The Eagles starting offense and defense both looked pretty crisp last night. Good sign for Sirianni as I expected them to be a disorganized mess.
Good news for Dak on the MRI and Wentz may actually play week 1. That would be a shocker. Fingers crossed.

Roster cuts are under way and we already had our biggest surprise; Cam Newton cut by the Patriots who clearly like Mac Jones a lot. Now...if Cam is willing to be a backup, and play for the league minimum (both huge ifs) I wouldn't mind bringing him to the Cowboys to backup Dak. You eagles traded for Minshew, stay away XD.
Wow, nice scoop, Teej. Just woke up to this news. That's surprising as f**k. I wonder who will take a look at him.
24 hours later he remains a free agent. Apparently the fact that he's unvaccinated is playing a big role. I don't understand those people, really... (unvaccinated people) but apparently in 2021 it's a discrimination suit waiting to happen so I'll just shut up.
Good read as always, Chump. I don't think this is the end for Cam. Yes, most if not all the teams have their starter in place and many of them have them under control for a few years, but backup QBs are scarce. As injuries start to happen, his phone will ring again. I totally expect to see him this year replacing some injured Franchise QB.
Thanks, Teej. I guess the question is what's the right fit and is Cam willing to settle for a back up role at this point in his career? And do teams want the distraction?
For the first question, I think he will get there. He'll be an injury replacement. The second question is the correct one. ESPECIALLY if he's not vaccinated.
