We're on to week 3 now with Giants vs. 49ers on thursday, a game in which the niners should cruise like the Cowboys did in the opener. Speaking of the Cowboys, they opened as 12.5 favorites at Arizona and I think I can work with that, especially considering we should get Tyler Smith, Brandin Cooks and Donovan Wilson back from injury.
Eagles play the Bucs on Monday. When the schedule came out I thought this would be a fairly easy win. Tampa is playing well though and Philly not so much. Hopefully we can squeeze out the W, even if it ain’t pretty.
I ADORE Tony Romo. I really do. We had so much history. I loved him, then I hated him and then I loved him again, and I still do. He's still easily the 3rd best QB in franchise history, the best one without a ring. We had terrible moments together as well as beautiful moments. Tony Romo is in many aspects the GOAT for me... But he's not a HOF player and it's not even close. And I hate the fact that this will be a discussion from this moment until the end of time. FML.
49ers looked pretty good last night especially considering it was a Thursday night game which should be graded on a curve. Purdy should have been picked a couple of times but SF was pretty dominant overall, unfortunately. I wish the Eagles were playing on Sunday instead of Monday. It already feels like it has been 2 weeks instead of 8 days since they played.
I'll probably miss the Cowboys game. It has TRAP GAME written all over it. Still, they should have no problem but I'm not sure about that 12-pt line. I don't think we'll miss Diggs that much this week...that comes later. Feels like we're looking ahead at the 49ers game in week 5. We still have this one and the Patriots next week. I'm staying away just in case.
Here's our Week Three picks, gentlemen. Week 3 College and NFL Pick ‘Em: SportsChump vs The Wife Hates Sports vs Doctor Milhouse - Sports Chump And yea, the Niners look pretty damn good. I'd dare to venture anything less than an NFC Championship Game appearance would be a disappointment for that team.
The Dolphins are such a fun team to watch. Unreal first half. 35 pts, Tua 16-16, running game with 138 yards & 7.6 ypc. I hope Tua can make it through the season without concussion issues.
Dolphins end with 70 points and NFL record 726 yards. With Colts beating the Ravens, the Fins are the only undefeated team in the AFC.
Cowboys killed themselves with the penalties and red zone offense. I wish Gannon had his defense play this well against the Cowboys when he was the Eagles defensive coordinator.
It's a tale older than time. I feel like I've seen this every year for a couple decades or so. Every good streak, every time the Cowboys look elite, they go out and lay a massive egg against one of the worst teams in the league. I should've seen it coming...in fact, I think I did. When I learned 3 OL starters weren't going to play I thought "oh-oh". It's the same movie over and over and over again, the only thing that changes is the cast. Only the producer guy (owner) remains the same. So glad I missed it.
I am so tired of reading about Taylor Swift in NFL sites. But learning Travis Kelce had 69 total yards with her in attendance made me lol. Sorry, I reached peak maturity at 12 years old.
I hate the Swift/Kelce thing too, and I also thought that was hilarious. The way the Eagles have looked in the first two games I have no idea what to expect. A win will have them in first place by themselves in the NFCE.
Solid win for the Eagles on the road tonight. Hurts was not sharp but the running game with Swift was excellent once again. The defense played well. Blankenship being back really helped. 3-0 and in first place by themselves with the Commanders up next.
I just think it's hillarious the Eagles have their own Kelce-Swift pair. I know, I said I hate that story but the jokes are good.
