The final 4 is here. Three of them expected since the summer and the 4th one that came ot of nowhere after getting rid of their horrible owner. The opening lines are: Commanders at Eagles (-5) Bills at Chiefs (-1.5) I kind of like both of them. We have two possible Super Bowl re-matches but I think the easy choice will prevail. Last week was a complete disaster so I could be very wrong.
I don't intend to make this about the Cowboys. They're out and haven't reached this round in 30 years. But I'm going crazy here. Besides the two coordinators from last year I already mentioned in the other thread, these are the former Cowboys players that are in the Championship round: Dorance Armstrong (draft pick, wasn't re-signed). Dante Fowler (wasn't re-signed). Tyler Biadasz (draft pick, starter for 4 years, wasn't re-signed) Noah I. (can't spell his last name...waived). Connor McGovern (draft pick, wasn't re-signed). Amari Cooper (traded for peanuts). Jordan Phillips (waived). So the coaches are not the problem. Clearly the players are not the problem. They all are perfectly capable of doing deep playoff runs. Further proof of what or who the problem is, but it will never change. I promise this is the last time I mention them until the offseason thread. Carry on.
I know, I know...I promised. I'm sorry!! Look, if Jerry names Brian Shottenheimer as new head coach, I might be out. Forever. This would be Dave Campo all over again, but worse. At least Campo was a decent defensive coordinator. Shottenheimer has never led a top 20 offense and he's been in the league for over 20 years. Only reason he keeps getting jobs is his last name. Time is indeed a flat circle. Now I'm done. Carry on.
I do, Dawk!! I do!! Why can't my team be normal, man? Oh, well. The Jets are hiring Aaron Glenn to be their new head coach. Another top candidate we didn't even bother to interview.
A really really long time it’s nostalgic to me remembering this site. Hoping to see another Super Bowl for the eagles I wasent even on here when we won our first in 2018. Would be cool if others came back like jihadjoe omen hermhater mikeoxlong ktrain there was a giants fan I was cool with forget his username. Also a cowboys fan with a wolf avatar.Sweets and Stevebob something used to run this right?
Brooklyn was life!! As for the others, I'm still in touch with Omen and Ollysj via facebook. The rest I lost contact with. Most deleted me for my posts in spanish XD Steve and Sweets sold the site like 10 years ago. Maybe even more. Sweets appeared from time to time until she stopped. It's basically me and Dawk now. Even the new owner is gone. One day this site will stop working and that will be it. I joined in march 2005. 20 years, man.
Yea time flies I was like 16 when I joined 35 now. I said alot of dumb s**t on here that when I scroll through old stuff it’s like wtf but it was fun lol. I remember having 2 Ocho cinco trophy’s those were pretty cool feature we had and vbookie money I had alot I think at one point.
Those times were so long ago that this doesn't even feel like the same site. FB, Twitter, etc...killed message boards.
And Reddit, which is pretty much a huge message board about everything. It happened to it the same that happened to all MBs before: it got over moderated to the point where it is unusable now. Feels like social media is just bots talking to each other. They feed you content you don't even like but makes you mad, or causes a reaction (I get lots of content bashing the Cowboys, Mariners, and stuff I like. I'm sure it's on purpose). I guess that is why I never left this place. Conversation still feels genuine. I don't know. I'm just an old man longing for the days of the turn of the century...
All signs point towards the Cowboys naming Brian Shottenheimer Head Coach. Apparently, Kellen Moore declined and Jerry is not willing to pay the 8 million dollar buy out to the University of Colorado for Deion Sanders. It will be done later today or tomorrow. Please, God, let it be fake news. I haven't prayed since elementary school. I don't ask for much...please...
The picks are in. EAGLES (-5) over Commanders No rookie QB has reached the Super Bowl. Without googling, the only ones I can think of that reached this round are Shaun King last century, Joe Flacco, Mark Sanchez and Brock Purdy (Flacco and Purdy eventually made it but not as rookies). Hurts, on the other hand, has been here a couple times already. I think experience counts in these instances, and it counts a lot...Philly has an advantage here. And they have Saquon Barkley. Don't over think it. Philly is going to the big game. Bills (+1.5) over CHIEFS Now here I'm over thinking. Chiefs fatigue sure is a thing but it doesn't even come close to the Patriots fatigue I had for two decades. I like Mahomes and his style. I like Andy Reid. I'm mostly fine if the Chiefs win every year for the foreseeable future. But I think the Bills are better this year, and damn are they due. I think the Bills exorcize their demons and win this one in epic fashion and they will complete the NFC East infinity gauntlet and face the Eagles in the Super Bowl. Enjoy the games, everyone. Last week: 1-2-1 Playoffs: 4-5-1
So now only the Saints head coaching job is open. Nobody really wants to go there. I think this means that Kellen Moore will be returning to the Eagles next season. While I have not been overly impressed with him, I think it will be good for Jalen to have the same OC 2 years in a row. Hopefully they can expand the offense.
People are not making fun of us anymore. They...feel sorry for us? Are we the new Lions fans? I want out.
