The Cowboys, like they usually do, restructured Lamb's and Prescott's contracts freeing up to 56 million in cap space. Ironically they can free even more with a Parsons extension. For this year, of course, because they become albatross of cap hits down the line when the only option is to do yet another extension just to get breathing room. Dak will be 36 when he's up for an extension again, and he has a reconstructed ankle and hamstrings. The future looks great.
Eagles sign Baun for 3 years. I'm so glad that Howie has finally started realizing the importance of linebackers. Of course, it probably was Vic Fangio's influence. I'm very happy right now.
Raiders made Maxx Crosby the highest paid non-QB in NFL history. 3 years, 103 million. Insane money. Micah Parsons is doing the SHOW ME THE MONEY dance to his agent on the phone.
I didn't watch much of the Raiders this past season, but he sure doesn't seem worth that kind of money. It probably makes things very difficult for the Eagles to trade for Myles Garrett. He's really going to get paid next year.
I'm sure it helps that they don't have a franchise QB in place right now, and if they get one in the draft, Crosby's deal will be done by the time they have to pay him. That's the right way of looking ahead and planning well.
Seahawks traded Geno Smith to the Raiders for a 3rd round pick. Nobody was expecting that. Looks like Seattle will go after Sam Darnold. Smith reunites with Pete Carroll in Vegas...
Crazy first day of free agency. Sam Darnold to the Seahawks. Laremy Tunsil traded to the Commanders. I hate this. Cowboys got a Running Back and extended their long snapper, something that they seem to do every year. They also made Turpin the highest paid kick returner in history. Some see him as an expensive returner, I see him as a cheap slot receiver who can also get carries too. At least they're being more active this year.
Eagles defense has lost 3 starters and one of their main rotation lineman. With the exception of Gardner-Johnson being traded, I expected all the moves. Not sure about safety, but we have young guys to fill the other holes. What worries me is that Goedert may get traded. He gets injured a lot, but the running game and pass protection is not the same without him. I hope he ends up staying.
"Dallas is my home. But I ain't winning a Super Bowl there". - Former Cowboys DE DeMarcus Lawrence in his first interview since signing with Seattle. I mean...he's out of line, but he's right. (He's not winning one in Seattle either).
That’s just a dumb thing to say publicly and a horrible way to treat your ex-teammates. Totally classless.
Yeah, and then got into an argument with Micah Parsons on Twitter of all places. If I wasn't a Cowboys fan this would be hillarious. D-Law, you had one sack in 7 playoff games with the Cowboys. Maybe you were the problem too.
He didn’t play much. There was too much WR depth ahead of him. I don’t know how he would do in an extended role.
Crazy contracts for Chase & Higgins in Cincy. I’m so glad Roseman extended Brown & Smith early. $100 million cheaper than Chase & Higgins over the same length.
Brandon Graham has officially retired. He will easily get a job in media with his personality. An all-time Eagles great. I'm so glad he got 2 rings and went out on top.
Russell Wilson to the Giants. 5 years ago would've been bad news for us but now it's like..."meh". Also...someone started a rumor of a Dak Prescott trade to the Browns but it's BS. None of the teams can take the cap hits it would cause.
