Week 8 Who Do I Start Thread (WDIS)

WDIS threads will be posted every Monday. All game times listed are EST, the world's time zone.

Please post any roster questions for week 8 in this thread.
Not sure who to start? Post your questions here. Please do not ask to have your entire lineup filled out for you.

All posts must contain the following information for you to get the best answer:

    * Include your league scoring for the players in question.
    * How many do you start at that position?
    * Who are they playing?

    For example:
WDIS Thomas Jones vs NE or Tatum Bell @ OAK. We start 2 RBs and my other starter is Joseph Addai.
We get 20yds/pt rushing and receiving, td/6pts.

    LenDale White vs. Oakland
    Kevin Jones @ Chicago
    Jason Wright @ StL

standard scoring, I need one of the three with Reggie Bush starting.

I would probably lean towards Lendale White....although Wright against St Louis might make a good play to.

I'm stuck between Marcus Colston and Chad Johnson... neither has done anything for me the last few weeks.

The good thing about a slumping star player is that eventually they'll break out. Cincinnati and Pittsburgh always play each other tough and I could easily see Chad finding the endzone in this. I wouldn't hesitate to start him over Colston.

I would also go with Chad Johnson, I have him on my team to and I 'd find it hard to put him on the bench ever.

I have a dilemna with QB's neither which have done much, do I start:
    Donovan Mcnabb against Minnesota or
    Drew Brees against San Francisco?

Damn, both guys are overdue to produce. McNabb has a slightly better matchup.

McNabb vs Vikings or Eli Manning vs Dolphins?

I am going to start 3 RB's, 2 regular and one in the flex....Willie Parker is already in the lineup but who do I start out of Gore, Lendell White and Kenny Watson for the two other spots?

1 pt for every 10 yards, 6 pts for TD

    Walnuts All-Pro

Dude, Eli easy...he's hot, Plax is playing out of his head and the Dolphins suck. The only neg. might be the Giants try to run down the throat of a pathetic Miami run D at the expense of the pass game. I'd still start Eli. As a matter of fact I am starting Eli.

Gore and White, IMO. Steelers aren't going to let Watson go off like he did last week, and White has been getting more carries and more production every week. Plus he's against the Raiders, who are getting exposed this year as the joke of a run defense I knew they were.

    OK,

    2 of 3

    Gore, Portis, White.

    PPR league.

  11. Walnuts

    Walnuts All-Pro

    Gore and WHite.

Portis hasn't been producing at all and is dinged up, plus he's against the Pats. White has been coming on more and more every game, and has Oakland. Gore is due, he's been getting decent overall numbers except TD's...not what anyone would have expected after last year, but he hasn't totally tanked. If he's gonna go off, it's going to start to happen these next two weeks, IMO, or never.

Just picked up Brandon Marshall in one of my leagues...I have Reggie Wayne starting but need to start either Brandon Marshall or Jerricho Cotchery?

1 pt for every 10 rec yards, 6 pts for a TD

    Emergency Last Minute:

Drew Brees @ SF or Philip Rivers vs Hou

Standard scoring plus 1 point per completion.

  14. Walnuts

    Walnuts All-Pro

SF's got a good pass D...but Brees has been looking a lot better.

Rivers might be wanting to test his new toy, but San D will always be a run first O...

I'd gamble on Brees, personally. SF's defense is probably going to be on the field a lot since the O is so inept, and even the best defenses wear down.

I did end up going Brees and am glad for my decision. I don't have the live stat tracker so i'm interested in seeing how I matched up in my 3 leagues.

heck you couldnt really have gone wrong with those two this week, they both went off.

I went 3-0 this week, and was high scorer in 2 of the 3 :icon_cheesygrin:...plus a perfect 12 for 12 in a pickems league going into monday night.

Nice, I got more than twice as many points from Brees as opposed to Rivers simply because we get 1 point per completion. Brees completed 31 passes to go along w/ 300+ yards and 4 TDs. Rivers 7 completions for 100+ yards and 3 TDs was much less. I finally had a really high scoring week, but any win is dependant on tonights matchup.
