Week 9 Who Do I Start Thread (WDIS)

WDIS threads will be posted every Monday. All game times listed are EST, the world's time zone.

Please post any roster questions for week 9 in this thread.
Not sure who to start? Post your questions here. Please do not ask to have your entire lineup filled out for you.

All posts must contain the following information for you to get the best answer:

    * Include your league scoring for the players in question.
    * How many do you start at that position?
    * Who are they playing?

    For example:
WDIS Thomas Jones vs NE or Tatum Bell @ OAK. We start 2 RBs and my other starter is Joseph Addai.
We get 20yds/pt rushing and receiving, td/6pts.

Alright, to some this may seem odd, but Steve Smith or Wes Welker as my 3rd WR? Knee jerk reaction would I'm sure tend to be Smith without hesitation, but he has been doing next to nothing for the past three games, and has nobody throwing to him. I don't question his talent or ability to be productive, but if he can't get the ball, shouldn't I sit him? I also have Deion Branch probably coming back from injury this week, so he's possibly an option as well, which is good, because I'm awfully thin at WR. Randy Moss, Reggie Wayne, Steve Smith, Wes Welker and Deion Branch. Thin, thin, thin :nahnah:. Poor me, hehehe.
I'm trying to trade Smith and/or Welker for RB depth+lower tier WR, but it seems like half the owners in this league (12 teams) are either deadbeats or unwilling to trade or bargain with me, so...I guess I'll just have to stick with all of them. *sigh*

Welker has been on fire. But since you already have Moss and they're playing Indy this week it might be better for you not to go with 2 NE WRs. But then again never bet against NE. I sat Welker once this year and that was his 2 td game. I learned my lesson and he won't see the bench again.

Good God almighty!!! I'm in a 8 team league and my WR's aren't that good, you must have crap for RB's. I'd go Welker myself, the way the Pats are throwing the ball and I expect a high scoring game.

I need to make a choice of Mcnabb against Dallas or
    Brees against Jacksonville.
I'm leaning towards Brees just because of the way he's been playing but Jax D is tough. Mcnabb probably has the more favorable matchup. I don't know.

I need one more WR to start...opposite Reggie Wayne.....

    Anquan Boldin
    Brandon Marshall
Jerricho Cotchery (Jets will be without Lav Coles this week against the Skins)

1 pt for every 10 yards receiving
    6 pts for a TD

Man, having a really tough time deciding this week...Frank Gore is just screwing up my thinking....I need to start 2, possibly 3 RB's...this post also goes with my last one....

Lendell White is a lock to start, not taking him out...but I also have Willie Parker and Frank Gore, also Selvin Young, but probably not going to start him.

Should I go with White and Parker with Gore as my flex, or should I insert a WR, say, like Brandon Marshall (facing 30th ranked pass D) in my flex spot, or Jerricho Cotchery? Or do you go with Anquan Boldin who has caught 2 TD's in each of his last 2 games?

    PPR or no?

I like WR's in flex spots in PPR leagues, it's almost guaranteed double digits every time, especially from guys like Cotchery and Boldin. I got 28 from Hines Ward in my flex spot last week, and although that was an anomaly, I've routinely gotten 10-15+ from guys like Crayton, Greg Jennings and Berrian. Boldin or COtchery would be $$$$.
Non PPR, I'd go Parker Gore and WHite.

    Boldin.

    3 of the following 7 WR's.

    Marques Colston
    Patrick Crayton
    Bobby Engram
    Santana Moss
    Brandon Marshall
    Greg Jennings
    Vincent Jackson

I know, I've got too many mediocre WR's, but I need the advice. I've thought about going w/ the top 3 listed, but Marshall and Jennings intrigue me. No PPR league so standard 10 yards/point and 6 points per TD.

    Yea I was too.
Someone had waived him or something :icon_rolleyes:

And I'm in desperate need of a RB.
This week I picked up Holmes.
Time for him to run for 200 plus on Denvers D :icon_cool: lol
