Curtis Martin is running again. This time, he's not restricted to a rectangle. He's finally free, able to go anywhere at any time, chasing instead of being chased. It's his new life, the life he always wanted, and he's going after it hard. He's up at dawn, eating a blueberry muffin and whipping up a fruit smoothie in his blender - mango, bananas, strawberries, dates and orange juice. Freshly squeezed, of course. He's studying the business pages and the Internet. Stopping by city hall to huddle with Mayor Bloomberg's honchos. Shopping for groceries with the homeless. Flying around the country in a private jet to meet with powerbrokers. Dating a supermodel. Working up a serious sweat in the boxing ring, his new passion. "It's like I have access to a whole new world, a world I disciplined myself away from when I played football," says Martin, who retired in July as the NFL's fourth all-time leading rusher. Good for Curtis, he was neither one that thought football was the end all for himself, he always thought of it as a stepping stone to get to what he really wanted to own an NFL team... He's dating a supermodel??? wtf....
University of Pittsburgh alum Nice to see this for Martin. He was a great back then and to get this honor against his hometown team is excellent.
