Interesting Stat

Caught an interesting stat on ESPN today....anyone else heard this?

The only team to go longer without a playoff win than the Cowboys is....the Detroit Lions. I didn't know this and I am surprised too. Didn't think this storied franchise would be in same category as Matt Millen and the Lions.

I need to clarify....that is among NFC teams but still.

It's been a miserable 12 years since the last playoff win in 1996. 5 times Dallas has reached the playoffs since 1997 and are 0-5.:word04: :word05: :word06: :dirty04:

 

Even the Niners have won one since then....

 

It's actually 6 straight loses...

1996 - Lost to Carolina in Divisionals
1998 - Lost to FREAKIN' ARIZONA in the Wild Card
1999 - Lost to Minnesota in the Wild Card
2003 - Lost to Carolina in the Wild Card
2006 - Lost to Seattle in the Wild Card
2007 - Lost to the freakin' Giants in the Divisionals.

After writing all that, I somehow have this feeling...like I want to shoot myself :icon_evil:

I feel your pain TJ but i didn't count 1996 because we actually won a playoff game before being upset by the Panthers, Yes though 6 in a row is insane and it must end soon.!!!!!!!

 

So basically this thread means the Lions just plain suck and the Cowboys love to choke?:fishing:

 

what team is in the longest drought for the entire league ? cleveland ?

 

when does Clevelands count begin? With New Browns or including Old Browns?

Doubt it's Browns because Ravens took their records with them. Has Cincinatti won since the Bills?
