Sports and the Law: Could Yahoo Sale Kill Free Fantasy Sports? :moe::moe::moe::moe::moe::moe::moe::moe::moe::moe::moe::moe::moe:
If Yahoo's free FF stopped that'd leave only the NFL.com FF league that's free... The NFL must be happy about this.
And how long would the NFL keep it free? They are money hungry and would want a slice of the pie everyone else is getting.
Very good point, can't believe I missed that... What was I thinking? The NFL would thrive on all the attention the site got? Hell no... The potential revenue.
CBS and ESPN are also free but I've been on Yahoo for 6 years and it's definitely the best I've used. It gets better very year too. I would hate to see it go away. However, I just read Yahoo expects to reject the Microsoft deal. So that's good news.
Thank god for that. I still wonder though if that's just the first salvo in someone's attempt to take over Yahoo.
I've always used ESPN's FF league, i was really looking forward to trying out Yahoo's next year and I hope I'll still be able to do that without paying.
For my money Leagues, I use CBSSPORTSLINE...for fun and for other sports, I've really enjoyed the Free Yahoo...
I just seen a link saying Yahoo trying to Merge with AOL now.. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080211/wr_nm/yahoo_aol_dc
I've played Yahoo fantasy games for going on 10 years now....at least it seems that long. The best around imo. I've tried all of them pretty much and it's not much of a competition.
If yahoo drop free fantasy sports, then I will never play fantasy football and baseball again. Yahoo is where I have always played fantasy sports.
