Without anything to base it on....I'd go with Shanny.
He has rings and has managed to take a so-so team and do well with it. I really like Jeff Fisher and respect what he does without a lot of help sometimes but if you had to base it on the entire work/career.....Shanny gets my nod.

 I'd say Fisher. Shanahan takes a few too many risks IMO.

That's why I was looking for the basis.....if I had to pick a coach for one game (championship) I'd go with Shanny's experience. If I was picking a coach for long term that had to develop and build a team.....I'd go with Fisher.

Jack Del Rio. He's a proper coach, okay Jeff Fisher is a darn good HC but he's a Titan!

Jack Del Rio's not an option yet...:icon_lol:

The reason I asked about these two is that they had a short debate about it on NFL Radio today.

Thread is a good idea 86, I just always prefer some criteria for the discussion. Better/best is always an opinion but if you are asking which is better for....wins, championships, disciplined, excitement.....very open ended discussion.

Stillelman Mommy told me I'm special

Shanny without a doubt. I think his GM role and HC role get mixed up, but he is a great HC and needs help as GM so he can do what he is best at.

Also, Fisher got beat up by Buddy Ryan, so that automatically takes some points away.

My personal preference would be Fisher.....but Shanahan gets the nod on what he's accomplished to this point.

I have to go with Fisher. He just seems to put the right mix together on offense and defense that puts him in the playoff chase more often than not. JMO!!

I'd go with Fisher, but I have no reason why.
