#1 Darren McFadden #2 Tyvon Branch from espn: Branch has good speed for the position and good short-area man skills. He can also contribute in the return game, but he isn't very explosive. He will provide depth behind DeAngelo Hall and will also play on special teams. #3 Arman Shields #4 Trevor Scott from espn: Scott lined up at tight end for his first three seasons at Buffalo, but he was moved to defensive end because of the lack of depth there. The fact that he played one season at defensive end means he has a lot of work to do in terms of technique, but he did a good job getting to the quarterback and is showing the potential to develop into a productive pass-rusher. #5 Chaz Schilens overall with how few picks we had i don't think we did too terribly. If you add in the fact that we used our second to get DeAngelo Hall I am really pleased with our draft. Although I will always have loved Gholston over McFadden if used correctly he can be a deadly weapon with JaMarcus for years to come
I'm happy with the draft, disappointment isn't gonna make it any better, so I gotta make the best of the situation. Didn't think that McFadden was what we needed, but it'll be nice to see if he can be utilized (with Michael Bush) much the same way Kiffin utilized both LenDale White and Reggie Bush. If what everyone says about him comes true, then we've got ourselves a keeper there.....so we'll just have to wait and see. Later.
