just saw Lars and the real girl. funny in a way, and pretty good

 

I just watched Before The Devil Knows You're Dead. I thought it was great. There were some twists I didn't expect. Hoffman and Hawke were both great, as was Tomei's body.

 

glad to hear you liked it, Dawk. definitely one of the best to come out of last year.

and Tomei is indeed quite bangable in that :icon_cool:

 

Finally saw Gone Baby Gone. I thought it was a great movie and really made you think at the end. Great first movie for Affleck even though he is a douche.

 

Going to see Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay tomorrow night.

anyone seen the previews for "love guru" with mike myers? it's supposed to be coming out in the summer but it just seems like mike myers combined shrek jokes with austin powers. mini-me vern troyer is even in it. it looks pretty awful, though the preview probably showed both funny moments of the whole movie...

it was pretty good, story was good, the action was great, nice effects, monster looked good, little to fast in some scenes but that helped it make it look real

This movie is hilarious, go see it.

 

30 Days Of Night - Awful. I turned it off 30 or 40 minutes in. I had zero interest in it's conclusion.

Things We Lost In The Fire - Hmmm...not sure what to say about this one. It wasn't awful, but their attempts to pull at my heart strings were a fail.

 

Recently saw "No Country For Old Men". Man, that was a good flick. Love the Cohen brothers.

I just watched "Oldboy", a Park Chanwook film. It's a "feverish mindbending revenge tale"....or so says the New York Times.

Odd movie, but good. It wasn't what I expected, and it was pretty mindbending.
