Thats ridiculous, I'd love the Cardinals to pick him up, for the right price of course. Sure, injury's a concern but he's still one of the best FB's in the league when on the field.
I've seen plenty of this guy to know he would be a good pick up for any team. I'd take him here over Oliver Hoyte.
you all say you would take him based on his reputation, you have to think teams know his reputation too and if he cant find work it must be more serious than you think...mmight just be time to hang em up
also for a lot of offenses the FB just isn't used enough to even garner the league minimum salary and the ones that do use a FB have one.
Unless your team using a power running system, Neal doesn't really benefit you much, main reason he asked to leave was because the Chargers were moving away from Marty's power running and Neal wants to still be a full time starter, and I would imagine he'd want to be on a team that had a chance at winning too.
I remember reading somewhere a few years back that he is actually smaller (height) than he was entering the league, which was attributed to his style of play. Thats pretty bad butt.
Neal is awesome. Anyone that can leadblock for 11 straight 1000 yard backs is alright in my book. Guy was a monster coming out of the back field!!
I agree ward, with us not having a true fullback for quite some time, I was hoping to land owen schmidt in the draft, as much as I hate WVU. But dude is a monster. I'd take Lorenzo Neal tho, he's a beast
So what if Lorenzo Neal doesn't have a job? Neither do Chris Henry, Shaun Alexander, LeBron James, LeCharles Bentley, or Cedric Benson! (Just kidding about LeBron)
Well Lo was one of the best ever at his position.... its kind of interesting to know that he's about finished
i really do think hes a HOFer at a completely unglorified position which says alot. owen schmitt is a head hunter btw
