Yes, it's just a matter of setting it all up. I'll get on it soon. Just trying to get the site's NFL news caught up at the moment.
The reason we don't use the team logos is because of copyright infringement issues. We have run into these issues in the past and frankly don't have the funding to get into some legal battle if it ever came up. So the icons that we are using are the best we can go with.
Copyright issues? Unless you are making money off the use of logos, there is no reason that they would shut you down. I'm curious, though, how did you get into legal trouble? Did the NFL demand that you take down their logos or something? Just wondering...
Suffice to say, the logo's you see are the logo's that are available, if you were a regular member you would know the story, since you're not we aren't going to rehash the story again.
short and sweet, the owner of the site got mail from the NFL. We was forced to take the logos down and had to go on with the icons we use now, period. If you have the time and money to get into a lawsuit with the almighty NFL, go ahead and let us know the result of it.
I don't really understand why the NFL would care about a website using logos from NFL teams. There are thousands of sites out there that do use them that are not affiliated with the NFL. No offense, but this site isn't the largest out there, I've seen larger ones that use logos of the NFL and other sports. Seems like you somehow attracted unwanted attention or you were trying to claim that you somehow owned the intellectual property of the logos you designed.
Frankly? I don't care if you understand or not. Fact is....we are not using team logos. Whatever the reason.....
