Weve been flooded with e-mail messages about the decision of a Seahawks fan site to prepare for the teams upcoming game against the Giants by posting a list of nauseating, tasteless, and horribly inappropriate 9/11 jokes. Seahawks fans, you can do better. There are plenty of other places where you can get news about your team. Actually, Seahawks fans might have no choice. The site in question, SeahawksHuddle.com, currently is down. Source: ProFootballTalk.com
Now I'm usually an advocate for making humour of any situation, but when you're a highly read website, it's freaking stupid to do it.
Humor of any situation is one thing, when it's about people that died in that situation is way over the line. If you don't think so you've got issues cause I bet if someone was cracking jokes on one of your loved ones and their death it'd be a different story.
Not particurly, if you can't laugh at a situation, what can you do? RIP to those who died, not trying to offend them, but it's fair game for jokes between friends. It should not, however, be done by a site with such high traffic.
Classless of the site owners/admin to let it stay posted...It is their responsibility to take action for this...they got what they deserved IMO a site that is shut down...
this same website was posting jokes/etc about tim russert and kevin everett the week they played the bills...
