Week 9 Who Do I Start Thread (WDIS)

WDIS threads will be posted every Monday. All game times listed are EST, the world's time zone.

Please post any roster questions for week 9 in this thread.

Not sure who to start? Post your questions here. Please do not ask to have your entire lineup filled out for you.

All posts must contain the following information for you to get the best answer:

    * Include your league scoring for the players in question.
    * How many do you start at that position?
    * Who are they playing?

    For example:
WDIS Ricky Williams vs NYJ or DeAngelo Williams @ SD. My other starter is Marion Barber.
We start 2 RBs and get 20yds/pt rushing and receiving, td/6pts.

ALright this time I'm freaking stumped. Usually when I post in these threads I already more or less already have my mind made up and just want another point of view/input.

This time I really do not know what to do.

    Standard scoring...

    2RB+RB/WR flex...

Forte (locked in)...but after that it gets tricky.
Now I only have 2 spots to put Marion Barber (NYG), Marshawn Lynch (NYJ), and Ronnie Brown (DEN). WTF do I do? Seriously! Until the last 3-4 weeks it was Forte, Lynch and Barber no question and mad points every week garoon. Brown was trade bait. Now lately Lynch and Barber have been hit or miss and Brown is mostly going off. I'm stumped. Nobody in the league seems to be interested in any trade, I (as stated in the past) offered Brown straight up for TONY SCHEFFLER (among various other offers to other people, all denied as well) and no go.

Barber & Lynch because they're both playing divisional games. I think the DEN-MIA game will be pass heavy. Last time Brown played DEN he only got 57yds on 22 carries.

I just acquired Scheffler for Donald Driver. :icon_mrgreen: But I know what you mean about people not trading. I have 6 RBs on my roster and no takers. The only person interested is 1 game behind me in the standings and I'm not looking to help him out like that.

Faulk @ IND or Slaton @ MIN? 1 point every 10 yards rushing; same for receiving. 6 points for touchdowns.

Matt Jones @ CIN Lavernues Coles @ BUF

    HELP!

NFL.com player rankings have Faulk ahead of Slaton by four slots. With Green-Ellis likely to start, I'll probably stick with Slaton. My other RB is Brandon Jacobs.

But I am REALLY stuck at WR in another league. I have Donnie Avery, Reggie Wayne, Lavernues Coles, Matt Jones, and I had to add Antwaan Randle El last night because Wayne is questionable Sunday Night and Randle El is the best available receiver for Sunday or Monday night. So I can't decide to start Coles or Jones. The matchup is REALLY tight.

Bowe by a hair. NFL.com player rankings has Bowe at 18 and Edwards at 19.

Lynch is too valuable to sit and I think he'll have a very solid game. It's closer between Barber and Brown, but Brown has been on a recent slump in Miami's wildcat offense, rushing for 57, 27, and 43 yards in his past 3 games (those numbers might be a bit off, but I'm pretty sure the last two are correct). Barber hasn't been great either and faces a tough matchup against the Giants, but I'd start him over Brown here. On the other hand, NFL.com player rankings has Barber at 5, Forte at 6, Brown at 8, and Lynch at 13.

Dwayne Bowe. The Chiefs won't be able to run the ball against Tampa and will probably fall behind. Last week, Thigpen hit Bowe 6 times for 100+.

Neither of these matchups are good (Edwards or Bowe) but I think Bowe is the better of the two. Not by much...you probably can't go too wrong with either one as they'll probably produce close to the same result. If you want to say you have more confiddence in Anderson, than Thigpen, go with Edwards.

Id start edwards because anderson is playing alot better and McCalister is out. Also The Ravens stuff the run so anderson has to pass alot.

Player rankings on NFL, ESPN, wherever, are usually worth about as much as a bundle of pubic hair from my unwashed testicles, ESPECIALLY when it comes to lower-caliber guys.

Neither Slaton/Faulk nor Coles/Jones should even garner a second thought, rankings be hecked.
