Mark Cuban Has 'ZERO' Chance Of Buying The Cubs

Cubs owner Sam Zell would love to sell the team to Mark Cuban.

''There's no way Bud and the owners are going to let that happen. Zero chance," a Major League Baseball source told the paper this week.
The paper says a group headed by John Canning Jr. is the likely front-runner.

I do not understand why they will not let him buy the Cubs. I think he has been good for the NBA overall. He got a little carried away a few times with him running onto the court but he seems to have toned it down a bit.

 

the mlb owners seem to be a group of smug pr**ks and they dont want a wild guy like cuban ruining their 'image'

while he would profit more, he would also be a great owner and spend money on the team

I'd be all for it if he lowers ticket prices, they are outrageous at Wrigley. I wouldn't mind him owning this team, he would try everything to get them to win a world series so he could say he did it.

 

Supply and demand apoc.......the yuppies still flock to Wrigley regardless of the game or the price so why lower them? It's hard for most REAL baseball fans to get a ticket there because of them.

 

So true, I know it is a far stretch to think anyone would do that, hopefully the Cubs will fade away a little bit so I can go again without have 30000 people wearing Cubbie blue and riding the bandwagon.
