Steelers S Troy Polamalu To Update Mean Joe Greene Coke Ad

    Twenty-nine years after Joe Greene became a star in a Coca-Cola commercial, Troy Polamalu will be cast in the remake. Polamalu, a four-time Pro Bowl strong safety, will revise the role that Greene played in the 1980 Super Bowl ad. It too will be shown during the Super Bowl.

    They should have done it the year the Steelers won their latest SB.

    It's still cool that they are doing it though.

    No doubt.

    I searched for a Carol Burnett sketch where they mocked this commercial to no avail. In the sketch they hit the kid with a Coke bottle amongst other things.

    Consistently voted the best commercial ever. It's going to be tough to remake that. Hope it's done well! Can't wait to see it...
