The World Series champion Philadelphia Phillies will host the Atlanta Braves in Major League Baseball's 2009 opener on April 5. The Sunday night game, originally scheduled for the following day, will be broadcast on ESPN2, the commissioner's office said Monday. Most other teams start play April 6. SOURCE: FOX SPORTS
I will miss it due to attending WM25. But will gladly rub it in the champs face, when the Braves sweep the Phillies in their lil title celebration for opening season :)
Actually, we're going to snitchslap you guys, which is really going to hurt, because at that time the players will be wearing their World Series rings. It's awesome to get the spotlight and kick off the baseball season. Hopefully I'll be there, but this is going to be a tough ticket to get, no doubt. Hopefully they use the lottery method again and that distracts people long enough for us to get our 6-pack game plans complete with opening day tickets, season finale tickets, some Mets games and and interleague game.
We do suck in April, but the fact that we will be playing the Braves will cancel that out. After all, we were 150-0 against them last season. :icon_mrgreen:
