Despite a recent history of serious injuries, veteran lefthander Mike Hampton apparently is headed back to the Houston Astros. Hampton and the Astros have reached a contract agreement, pending a physical, KRIV-TV in Houston reported on its web site Monday. The 36-year-old Hampton pitched for the Astros from 1994-99, winning 69 games. SOURCE Yahoo
Great move for the Astros. It's only a one year deal adn the most the guy can make is 4 million, half of which are incentives. He pitched really well at the end of last season and could end up being a major bargain. If he goes down again, no big deal.
