Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News talked to one baseball official (presumably not with the Yankees) who believes the Yankees are "going hard" after Manny Ramirez. That official sees the Yanks willing to offer three years, while other execs see them stopping at two years, $50MM. Another source told Feinsand that Brian Cashman isn't keen on Manny but Hank and Hal Steinbrenner are.

This is getting ridiculous. MLB has to step in sooner or later.

Why? As shown in recent years, the team has no chemistry whatsoever.

What makes you think that having a load of new players will affect that positively?

if Manny acted the way he did in Boston, how do you think he'll act under the scrutiny of New York?
an A-Rod/Manny combo would be insane.

It would be funny to watch Manny quit on the Yankees like he did the Red Sox.
