Uhh.. it's funny because this all started because we were talking about McNabb being injury prone. Not sure how it turned into your personal analysis of the NFC East.. but whatever floats your boat.
Oh, I mentioned it being easy? I must still be watching re-runs of NFL Seasons, because I missed that part. All I said was " Soft as Mcnabb's bones are? " It was sarcasm. I'm all over this site, and i'm a NFC East Lover. Proud to be a fan of the toughest division in football. I Love the rivalries. I never brought up the word easy, nor superbowl. I may had said that our season will be going smooth, and the only reason being said, is because our team/coaching staff, does it's best job in keeping players healthy, and I feel if a team can stay healthy all season long, and as good as we are in talent, there's no way we don't make the playoffs. And yes, we do have Terrell Owens. But just because we do, doesn't mean we're Superbowl bound by any means. I was just stating i'm glad to have him on this team, it's good for us, and it's good for him. He's matured a lot, off the field. On the field, everyone may hate him, but he makes them respect him.
It's going real smooth. But, All in all.. we didn't deserve to be in the playoffs, every since Romo got hurt.. he just wasn't the same, cept against NYG and SF, every other game he played terrible. Injuries killed us this season, didn't know our players bones was as weak as McNabbs. It's okay though, because Eagles knocking Dallas out of the playoffs, just goes to show the Eagles fail again in the post season, no matter how many playoff wins you have in the last 15 years, you still have the same amount of hardware to show for it, as we do.. not winning 1 playoff game.
But the Steelers won their division...that would be deserving. They didn't need three weeks worth of miracles to back in...:icon_thumright:
The only good team in your division is the ravens lol. The bengals and browns suck. Our competition was way harder than the steelers.
Backing in is when you get in after your team lost and others won it for you. When the Eagles had their final game of the season it was win or be out. The Eagles did some destroying to get in.
and he forgets when the steelers won the superbowl against the seahawks, they backed in as a WC team.
Winning Final 4 games and an 11-5 record. :icon_lol: vs. 9-6-1 and 3 weeks worth of miracles. Hmmmmm... Regardless, I think they have a great chance of moving forward.
So then who does? Those teams that lost and allowed us to get in? We didn't steal a spot. You have to earn the wild card spot just like you have to earn the division championship. Every team needs other teams to lose to get into the postseason, the Eagles just needed a few more in the end. We still had to win four of our last five games against some very tough opponents to get in. So the Cardinals are more deserving of a playoff spot than the Eagles? It's not as easy as saying "if you win the division, you're better than the teams that don't". The system is flawed (not that I'm advocating for change, I like the current one) if you intend to use records as the only comparison between teams. Teams like the Cardinals and Chargers probably would not be sniffing the playoffs had they played in a division with tougher opponents. I don't think you can say that they don't have enough talent to be considered a legitimate playoff team, either, because they have one of the best defenses in football and have beaten four of the other playoff teams (Steelers, Giants, Falcons, Cardinals). But hey, screw the other factors, right? If you don't have those sexy double-digits in the win column or a division crown, you aren't worth crap.
Interesting comparison Ward.... I prefer mine Eagles 15- SteAlers 6 Enjoy beating the brownie's and bengal's division all you want but as I told you back in September.... the best team in Pennsylvania award and all bragging rights for the year go to the Eagles. ther-twothumbsup:
