Wow, this is a freaking awesome thing to do for a newbie just showing up. Thanks a ton for taking the time to do it. I'm a Ravens fan, true, but I'm a fan of some other teams as well, I sort of have a very off the wall 'hierarchy' of who I would root for in the event Team X faced Team Y and so on. Though since Baltimore is my home town (I'm in Ohio now...marriage thing) the Ravens are still my #1 team. They're why I have DirecTV. :) I had heard about the site from a friend when I asked him where the best NFL fan forum sites where, because I was hoping to join up and get to know some folks who are super fans of the games and their teams...for a very specific reason. Bear with me, it's kind of a long post. Years ago, I was a product designer/director for a company called Palisades, and we were just at the beginning of making Muppets action figures. I knew the universe, but wanted to find real fans to interact with and see what their opinions were on product ideas, ask them where to find the best reference, etc. Forged some great relationships (that still exist on a personal forum of mine where we all just kind of hang out since Palisades is no more) and it was a really awesome thing to set-up and watch how it helped shape this Muppet product to be more realistic and true to what it needed to be. That was, Oh I dunno...maybe 7-8 years ago? Fast forward to today. Working for a new company making some resin collectibles of NFL Players, and figured I'd do the same thing...start reaching out to some sites, see what's out here, see if there were people who wanted to give advice/opinions about stuff, people I could ask some questions of, etc. Now I just have to figure out where on the site is the best place for me to sort of hang, pay attention, watch, ask questions, etc. --Ken
My advice is to ask SteveRobWhatever, he's known as SRW. He is the board owner so his permission is what you need and he can then let you know what forum to post in to get your questions answered, assuming that is that all this is ok with him.
