Sources on the scene really liked the way 49ers fifth-round pick QB Nate Davis threw the ball, although the arm strength he displayed might have been enhanced by the lack of arm strength belonging to Shaun Hill, one of the few veterans in attendance. The kid is very interesting, a real high-risk, high-reward guy, one close observer said of the Ball State product. He really can throw the ball, but it could take him two years to learn the offense. It should be noted that, despite his inferior arm, Hill looked the best of all the quarterbacks on the field, after all was said and done. He looked great on the second day, the observer said. And thats unusual because of his reputation for being such a bad practice player. Source: Pro Football Weekly
high risk? are you freaking kidding me? Alex Smith for 50 million is high risk..a 5th round draft pick is a freaking freebie...
Yeah no crap... LOL I don't see any risk at all involved with a 5th round pick. As many question marks there may have been.
