Running back Shaun Alexander's a free agent again, and he's become all but forgotten. Earlier this week, Alexander told KNBR radio that he's willing to work for "nothing." "I think that if a team gave me a shot, I think that they would be so pleased with what they got," Alexander said. "They would feel like they got a ticket to have somebody that could play really, really well for nothing. I think that would shock a lot of people." With nine years of experience, Alexander would be entitled to a minimum salary of $745,000, even if he doesn't want it. Source: The Sporting News
:beatadeadhorse: You're embarrassing yourself Shaun. The only way you could possibly make a bigger fool of yourself would be to put on a uniform. Move on dude.
There's usually one team out there though that usually gives over the hill athletes a chance...just so happens that at this time, they are stacked at RB...
somebody will get hurt in training camp, he could get a chance, but there is a lot of quality replacements out there right now
But that chance already came last season with the Redskins. What did SA do with it? Nothing. It's over. You don't get 3rd chances in the NFL.
What could he do with it, really? I mean in order for him to have a real impact, a top RB would need to go down... Washington would be good for him since Portis can never stay healthy for a whole season...
seriously..once he lost hutchinson he was done....he was never that great to begin with IMO, overrated...just a big body to hand the ball off too at the goalline..
