Former NFL coach Jon Gruden will replace Tony Kornheiser this fall on ESPN's broadcasts of Monday Night Football, ESPN said Monday. In the ESPN statement announcing the move, Kornheiser cited his fear of flying, and the increased need for him to travel via air this season, as his reason for stepping aside. "My fear of planes is legendary and sadly true. When I looked at the upcoming schedule it was the perfect storm that would've frequently moved me from the bus to the air," Kornheiser said in the statement. Gruden will join Mike Tirico and Ron Jaworski this season, the 40th season of "MNF." Source: Business Courier
Agreed, I like Brian Billick a lot, but he does not get a lot of attention because he is gets the worst games each week
I can't stand Kornheiser... and Tirico. Tirico is way to cheesy for football. He acts like some stereotype of a cheesy white guy.
According to PFT Gruden actually had a deal in place with NFLN and ESPN jumped in at the last moment. Not too popular there anymore.... ProFootballTalk.com - Report: Gruden Reneged On NFL Network Deal
I hated Tony and I hated Gruden when he was doing the draft, the guy saw "greatness" in every freaking guy he talked about, I mean give me a break dude, I also hate ESPN so it's a match made in football hell IMO.:kicknads:
Glad to see they let Tony lie his way out though. Had nothing to do with thte travel and everything to do with what we are all posting here. Nobody liked Tony on MNF.
