The 49ers are wasting no time in targeting a replacement for injured Walt Harris, as the club is scheduled to meet Thursday with veteran free-agent cornerback Dre' Bly, a league source said. The 49ers had no immediate comment on their interest in Bly. Harris is likely to miss the season after sustaining a torn anterior-cruciate ligament in his right knee during organized team activities on Tuesday. Source: Santa Rosa Press Democrat
Time for the kids to step up that they've been drafting.....no reason to bring Bly in... Harris wasn't playing that well since he got his big money anyways..
dre bly is and has always been overrated. i suppose if he just wants a job and will accept a small short-term contract, the 49ers now need another cb so it would work out for both sides.
