Michael Lombardi of the National Football Post is reporting that several people in the NFL have told him not to rule out St. Louis as a possible destination for Vick. The Rams might have some ownership issues to deal with before actually signing him, but they have genuine interest. They've been doing their due diligence on Vick, and if the Commissioner does reinstate him, look for them to actively pursue him. Source: National Football Post
I still think the guy can play QB. Hes still better than a good amount of other QBs. Hes a weapon when hes at QB cause you never know when hes gonna break a run and he has a cannon arm.
Bulger has been going down hill lately it seems and this would give them some options and open up a new playbook to them
Bulger has only started all 16 games once in his 7 years as a starter in st. louis. He is inconsistant. so is vick. i guess they expect Bulger to be hurt, so they will get vick before the trade deadline when Bulger is already on IR
i wonder if anyone is going to pay vick more than the veteran minimum? i would think they would just want to bring him in for 1-year to see what he can still do.
He's definitely better than the #34 QB in the league...and arguably, better than the #32 QB in the league... Having said that, he's not better as a pure QB than Marc Bulger...imo.
Bulger was looking like one of the better QBs in the league when tthe Rams had a decent line. There is no way Vick would be brought in to start ahead of him.
Vick has been out of football for over two years. His "instincts, or lack there of" are almost non existent and his arm more than likely is nothing to what is was, now I would say it would be above average right now. IMO.
Bulger has been on a downslope from 2006. He's never going to return to his old form and TBH, if it wasn't for bigger needs and a general lack of QB talent in the 09 Draft, he'd be gone. But still, Vick isn't the answer in anyway, and I don't want that scumbag near the team.
people always seem to forget that offenses are built around the oline and the Rams oline has pretty much blown for the last two years, give bulger an oline and #4 active passer in yards per game can do a ton of damage
he also needs some dudes to throw to, but the Dolphins and Ravens managed comeback seasons with bad QB's good offensive lines good running game, and good defense, and bad receivers. The Rams could be the Dolphins of next year if there D improves.
blazer, it's a futile effort to argue with a child. Kid refuses to see logic or pretty much anything he didn't do a search on yahoo five minutes before posting.
Wow 2 major Rams Headlines I havent commented on yet. First off no one has even mentioned Spags 4 pillars, faith, character, core values and team first. Vick might come back and be a great human being but at this time in his career I dont see a convicted dog fighter fitting into any of these pillars. Do I think he would be an interesting pickup? Hell yeah, but I think that the Rams need some sort of direction and Spags four pillars are the type of direction we can live by. So I would have to against this pickup for this reason. Let Spags make this a young respectful team that plays with a lot of heart and soul.
