It's only June and it's only Day 1 of mini-camp - with no pads, even - but Ted Ginn Jr. showed some signs he could become the playmaking wide receiver the Dolphins need. Quarterback Chad Pennington helped, taking a number of shot down field as the team worked on third-down offense and defense. On one of Pennington's tosses, Ginn got behind Eric Green for a 50-yard TD, maintaining his concentration when safety Gibril Wilson arrived to help a step late. Source: Palm Beach Post
where ginn goes from here should be interesting. i think a lot of people think we've seen everything ginn can offer. i'm not sold either way yet. he may have more to show us at wide receiver as he continues to learn the nfl game and becomes a 'smarter' player. we know he has the physical tools. now he needs to raise his game by becoming smarter, ala hines ward, jerry rice, marvin harrison, none of whom were that much better athletically to accomplish what they accomplished, they were just smarter than the average guy at their position.
Meh, most of you know Ginn isnt and never has been a favorite of mine. I was so pissed off with the pick in the draft I probably havent been to fair with him though. Oh well I'll believe it when I see it.....and more importantly when it matters, and not in shorts and a wife beater.
