Vince Young has revealed that the emotional ordeal surrounding the 2008 season opener in which he was booed at LP Field caused him to consider quitting football, a sentiment he had previously denied after similar situations in his three-year NFL career."I was to the point where man, I didn't really want to play no more because of the fact that I was that hurt," Young told ESPN's E:60 in an interview that will air on this morning's 9 a.m. edition of SportsCenter. "I was that hurt from the boos and all the different things that were going on. It was just so much for me - I didn't want to play no more." The comments are the latest in recent weeks from Young, the No. 3 pick of the 2006 NFL Draft and former Titans starting quarterback. Source: The Tennessean
Holy christ.....can Vince just stay away from microphones? He needs to shut the heck up, man up and show he can earn what he wants. It's not Texas, Mack Brown isn't here to coddle you. Grow up already....
I thought this kid was great in college, really defying what critics had to say. Now he's just acting like a big vag**a; I got little league kids with thicker skin than this.
Just about all that needs to be said, that and he needs to man the heck up. Vince is obviously an oversensitive little snitch.
A professional football player who can't stand being booed? Whoa...you pick the wrong profession, son.
