Quarterback Donovan McNabb's future with the Eagles beyond 2009 will be determined by how he and the team do this season and his reworked deal doesn't change that. While McNabb can pocket an extra $1.2 million in the final year of the reworked deal, just $3.5 million of his 2010 money is guaranteed, which is hardly enough to make the Eagles think twice about getting rid of him. Just as the Eagles did with Terrell Owens, when they released him before he was due a sizeable offseason roster bonus, they can release McNabb prior to next May and won't be on the hook for a penny of that $6.2 million and will only owe him the $3.5 million guaranteed portion of his salary. Screw you philly media i hate you with a passion and would like to burn you all alive in a enormous blazing fire. They need to shut the heck up and leave mcnabb alone hes gonna be here you freaking cu**s.
Why be pissed at the media... they're not the ones who threw a little snitch money at him instead of hooking him with the extension that he deserves, thus leaving the door wide open. 5 mil 'raise' over 2 years and 90% of Eagles fans were happy about it... only because most of them are only half way in on McNabb too. "Hook him a little, but not too much."
I just hate that the media doesent leave it alone. I believe he will be here after the 2 years are up. He constantly gets bombarded with questions about him staying in philly and hes tired of it.
Screw that thread where you pretended to know what you were talking about and answering questions......... THIS IS WHATS UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ther-twothumbsup:
people are just stirring the pot. i would have loved to have mc5 locked down through 2012 with the 'new deal' and retire an eagle, so hoping that this isn't true. it doesn't make sense to me to come into a season and not be only focused on that season. it just makes for bad business and could heck with players' heads.
say heck the media all you want - and i agree with that sentiment - but they are bringing up a valid point here. if you do not think the "gold standard" caculates every single move they make where they can have outs on everything you're naive.
