the reach/shot was out of instinct

 

Yvel could have looked to the ref after 2 or 3 undefended punches, and I'm not saying he had to, or even should have, but it might have been a good diea.

Sapp is huge but he gasses VERY fast...

 

i disagree. its not his job to do so. the ref is there to ensure safety, not the fighter. someone unloading punches isn't thinking about how much he's hurting the other guy. he wants to tear his head off

on a side note, the production of this show is so hokey

Like I said I wasn't saying he SHOULD have looked over, but I've seen fighters recognize their competitor is totally out and have looked to the ref.
