I don't trust Childress getting the Vikings over the hump and I don't know if the Packers D is complete enough to be effective, plus the transition could take more than a year and the Lions are the Lions. With Cutler there, the Bear's running game will be better because opposing defenses won't be able to cheat with Hester going deep and other options like Knox and Olsen spreading the field.

Hard to say i think the packers will make a comeback this year. Aaron rodgers had a good year last year the packers just had some bad luck. The vikings are hard to tell if favre comes back. Who knows how he will be with the surgery he could come out week 1 and throw 3 picks. If favre come back and plays like he did in 07 the viking will be a beast in the nfc cause a passing game is what there missing.Great defense great run game already.Cutler doesent really have any stand out receivers on the bears so i dont think he will play as well as he did with the broncos. Lions are the lions so there not in the picture.

I pick the vikes to win the division with the bears and packers not that far behind it should be close.

I'll buy Cutler and Chicago winning the division. I think the defense will step it up this season. Forte has an extra season under his belt and Cutler's in a better situation with Chicago than he had with Denver. I think Green Bay will have a let down season. Favre's not with the Vikings yet...so I don't see them winning more than 9 games unless they get Favre...then maybe they win 10. I can see the Bears winning 11 and the division...

Tough to say, weak division but Cutler coudnt lead the donkeys to the playoffs and they had more talent.

Buy. A good QB makes average WR's better than they really are. The Bears have the defense obviously and Forte should continue to get better. Green Bay will be the toughest competition.

I think you all are underestimating the Lions this year.......
The Lions will be the Dolphins of last year......but better
That said, as a Lions fan I was not happy when the Bears got Cutler..They have a good chance.........The Vikings are gonna get hit with A.P. getting injured and there goes all their chances.....The Packers should have a good year but all in all..........

The Lions to win the NFC North

    You heard it here first............

Without Matt Millen I give it a chance.

I say Sell. I like Cutler and think he could become a good QB for the Bears but he is coming into a whole new system with the Bears. While in Denver he had a more open attack the Bears are going to want him to control the clock and not push the ball up the field as much. This sounds simple but it is not something every QB can do.

As much as I think the Lions are improved, they are in no way going to be the Dolphins of last season but better. Unlike the Dolphins, the Lions still have no O-line, no QB(Culpepper will show his true self with being careless with the ball and fumbling with his small hands), Plus, the Lions did very little to improve the defense. Wishful thinking puggs, but the lions are still two drafts away from being competetive.

I hope you are right, but have you seen thier schedule? Its not an easy one, I think they might win 3 or 4. Huge turnover, players, coaches just hard to say.

    Crowned Doesn't give a shit.

Sell, not that he isn't capable of it especially with that defense, but that's a tough division right now between the Bears, Packers, and Vikings I could see either the Packers or Vikings winning the division over Chicago. Now if the Bears somehow manage to get Marshall, my opinion quickly will change.

Sell for this year, the Packers and Vikings should both be stiff competition. I'd hardly call the NFC North an 'easy division.'

Worst to first with in a year is possible. Since this is the Lions you are making fun of, I wouldn't count on them winning the NFC North in 2009 either, lol.

If the defense has a better 2009, they can win the division. I remember back to 2005 with Kyle Orton where the Bears were scoring just enough and won the division that year.

    September 13th!
