Rockets could lose Yao for season, if not longer - NBA - Yahoo! Sports

As the NBA draft approached, the grim truth about Yao Mings(notes) broken left foot hung like an anvil over the Houston Rockets. The fear isnt that hes just lost for next season, but longer. It sounds like hes missing most of next season, if not the entire 82 games, one league executive who has had recent discussions with the Houston front office told Yahoo! Sports. Thats all that [the Rockets] will concede quietly, but they know its probably much worse.

Not suprising, This is why Shaq is considered a freak. When you are that big and trying to compete athletically, it take a tremendous toll on your body. Shaq is a good player not spectacullar in means of talent but amazingly athletically for his size.

to me shaq was the second most dominate player ever, at least of the last 20 years, duncan makes a good case for it but i give the nod to shaq.

yao has just started to come into his own as being one of the leagues top centers....this is really a shame

Man, it's been one tough break for Yao after another. He seems to get injured at the worst times. It's probably time for the Rockets to part ways with Yao.
