Dennis Green Says Dolphins Will Go After Michael Vick

Though the NFL generally has ignored the UFL, Sirius NFL Radio featured over the weekend a spot with UFL head coach (and former NFL head coach) Dennis Green. In asked Green where quarterback Mike Vick might resume his football career, hosts Howard David and Dean Dalton likely assumed that Green would roll out the UFLs red carpet for Vick. But Green thinks that the Dolphins will make a run for the man who went to prison for fighting dogs. I have a hard time believing that Michael Vick is not going to wind up with Bill Parcells, Green said, simply because he has that creativeness that says that no matter what it takes, hes going to find a way to get Michael Vick. Now, whether it means convincing the Commissioner or whatever it takes, Michael Vick is probably going to wind up at Miami because of the fact that Bill Parcells is Bill Parcells.

I think there is a reason why Dennis Green is stuck coaching the UFL. What possible reason is there to have him? The Wildcat? That is what White is for, Parcells doesn't go for guys with drama. Even though Vick doesn't open his mouth, the negative attention he would bring just goes against what Tuna has done.

my thinking exactly, Dennis Green is coaching in the UFL for a reason...I think the odds of Vick being in real game shape aare slim anyway

Game shape didn't even come to mind after reading what Green said, I was so baffeld by what he said.

This makes no sense. Parcells wouldn't tolerate all the extra attention Vick would bring.

I wouldn't discount this completely. Dennis Green is where he is because he can't deliver on an NFL field and can't pass up a good podium bashing. When it comes to personnel decisions though, the man can buy some damn good groceries, he just can't cook.

Unless the Dolphins move Michael Vick to another position, why would they need him?

Dennis Green...is he even relevant any more? I'd rather ear him talk about the Bears...

  10. that move makes NO sense whatsoever. The fins are set at QB they have starter Chad Pennington, backup Chad Henne (who will take over the starting job soon enough), and they just drafted Pat White

Don't think it will happen but if it does bad move. They already have enough pieces to the puzzle if this is a way to make their wildcat formation better. Vick is still a sub par QB and always has been. His speed is great but you have Ginn Jr. and Pat White now with other speed players on that team that can do the same thing Vick would bring to table. Parcells will not tolerate the media circus that Vick would create.

Don't need Vick here, I don't see it. If they didn't have two young guys behind Pennington, it would make sense. By the time Pennington is done, Vick will be near 32. Doesn't make sense.

I do believe that Vick will end up with the Browns in 2010. Irony or not, that's where he'll end up. I think they'll see that Anderson and Quinn are not the solution and will bring Vick on board for what will hopefully be a quick fix. Say what you want about him, but despite being an "average" passer, he was a damn good playmaker, something the Browns really need.

I would think if he went to MIA ( Which I Think He Won't) he would just be a utility, or trick play player.
