    86WARD -

They had an interesting debate on NFL Radio Today in regards to the history of the african-american QB.

Who would you say was the best ever. For me, it's easily Warren Moon.

    I'd rank the Top 5:

    1. Warren Moon
    2. Donovan McNabb
    3. Steve McNair
    4. Randall Cunningham
    5. Kordell Stewart (:TTW:) - Or - Doug Williams...

Who is your Top-5 and vote for who you think is the greatest of all-time.

The good Reverend says he's a little busy what with balancing Jacko's nuts on his chin and all but that he thinks I should just vote for Super 5 and move on.

  8. Platoon 86

    Platoon 86 Loony

    1. Moon (easily I might add)
    2. McNabb

    SoDev Don't tase me, bro!

Moon is a legend, he takes the first five spots. I'll start the Cunningham and Mc's at 6.

If McNabb makes it to the Super Bowl does that propel him past Moon? What if McNabb wins it?

I thought I was on Moon when I clicked submit my vote. I landed on McNair.

Ward I would say yea Mcnabb probablly does go to 1st. Cuz a superbowl would put Mcnabb into the hall of fame and that is what all these guys are missing that Warren has.

  14. DawkinsINT

In my opinion, yes. There would be some debate about it, but I'd have to go with McNabb looking at the numbers.

  15. Inclulbus

    Inclulbus WE ARE! .. Marshall!

    I would go

    1. Mcnabb [pure talent, ability, and stats]
    2. Moon [hof]
    3. Williams [superbowl]
    4. Mcnair [had titans not accepted a penalty given them 1st and 5, instead of 2nd and thee, would two yards make mcnair the 2nd black qb with a SB win??]
    5.Byron. [just off of homerism]

    **********Automerged Doublepost**********

i voted byron though... just so he'd get a vote. but it woulda went to mcnabb.

  16. AtlantaBlazer

    AtlantaBlazer Knuckles The Echidna's Brother

    1. Warren Moon - No question
    2. Steve McNair - Toughness brought to the position that wasn't and still isn't around anymore. Plain leader.
    3. Donovan McNabb - Would have a ring by now if he had a steady/decent WR core.
    4. Randall Cunningham
    5. Doug Williams (Superbowl and lack of competition in this list puts him at 5).

If Mike hadn't ruined his career with the dogfighting scandal, he would have a change to be up here. Sure as hell was/is a spectacle to watch.

    Vince Young???? LMAO....

Warren Moon and no one else should be even mentioned. The guy is was and maybe always will be the greatest african-american QB.

    **********Automerged Doublepost**********

I would say that is HIGHLY debatable. I dont think hes anywhere near a HOF'er.

  18. chiefswin19games

    Seneca Wallace.

Really DD? He is comparable to Jim Kelly if not better.

  20. dolphindude13

    dolphindude13 Jack Of All Trades

That was my initial reaction....I guess it would depend on the #'s but I just dont think of Mcnabb as a HOF'er. No doubt he's been a damned good QB but not elite like a HOF'er should be imo. Maybe my standards are too high?
