It's on youtube: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5hl23d0Ygw"]The Percy Harvin Song[/ame] :icon_cheesygrin: can't wait to see Brett pass to Percy!
isnt ted ginn jr supposed to be dolphins #1 wr option? he had similar receiving numbers in college as percy harvin. is tedd really considered a true possession receiver? who else is receiving for the dolphins? ernest wilford? is he a tight end or receiver? pennington lined up at reciever for you guys... wait hes your QB. ronnie brown lined up at QB, RB and WR. what about pat white? yall dont even know if he is a QB or WR... or both? of all people, i wouldnt expect a dolphin fan to argue whether or not percy harvin is a receiver or not. their #1 option is no pure receiver compared to percy. he is a legit receiver. he has the skills and numbers to back it up. the vikings have peterson and taylor at RB. percy will get a couple shots and running it from the backfield.... but the vikings definitely see him as a WR.
I just wasted 30 seconds watching this awful video...this will comeback to bite him in the butt...lol... What was Miami's record last season with all those QB's? I wouldn't knock it...lol.
Ummm yea being from Florida I had the chance to watch Harvin, like I said, he is not a receiver. Going right to trying, and being unsuccessful, to attack another person's favorite team shows that you really can't defend him. Trying to compare a player from a pro style offense and a spread offense is just completely wrong. Ginn may have had similar numbers, but he was at least able to run some form of routes. Riddle me this, out of his football career at UF, how many years did he play in all the games? Riddle me this again, how many WR can you name that came from UF, and of the few you can, if any at all, how many have had real success? So befor you try and derail the topic on how the Dolphins players do this and do that, try knowing what the prospect brings to the table. And in case you didn't notice, the Dolphins were in a rebuilding mode last season, which is still going on this season, which is why they have so many tweeners. Just the fact you had to go and try to attack the Dolphins is silly and pathetic, and it would be funny if it wasn't so sad.
Does Everyone forget about Camrillo to. I would take him over Harvin or any Vike any day of the week.
Even IF he wasn't quite as good of a possession receiver as he should, I think he'll be effective with the Vikings. We have Benard Berrian as a receiving threat (nearly 1,000 years last year) and adrian peterson/chester taylor running the ball for us. Harvin will not be heavily relied upon and we can get him in open spots of the field. short in-routes, dump offs, quick passes, screens, reverses and even quick snaps. All this aside, I'd think being a Dolphins fan.. you shouldn't even care what to label a player. Dolphins players, especially your QB and runningbacks are moving all around and are not conventional. you have players coming in that aren't expected to play conventional (pat white). okay, so harvin is not a conventional WR.. but he will get the ball and he'll get open looks as a receiver. i consider him a legit receiver, who can also get the ball in other ways. im a dolphins fan as well. i love the vikings more. id like to see us use harvin the way the dolphin uses their players. im not attacking the dolphins.. im making a point that a position label for a player means little... hence all the examples i had. percy is a hybrid WR like pat is a hybrid QB... ronnie is a hybrid RB. but percy nonetheless is a legit WR.
It has nothing to do with being a possesion receiver, Harvin is coming from a system that causes inflated stats. The last big time WR prospect from UF was Chad Jackson, and he went to a team with a QB. Harvin is nothing more than a return man, that is if he doesn't get kicked out for off the field issues. Do you know how most receivers get those open looks? Running good routes. Again a skill Harvin lacks.
isn't ginn's main criticism, his route running ability and his dropping of easy balls (not to mention holding onto the ball when he catches it)? we've seen ginn play for 2 seasons, so we can judge and base off how he's played. harvin hasnt played a single NFL game and you scratch him off. yes -- many players that do well in school end up doing bad in the NFL, but its just as often the other way around. players that are "system" players or players that did okay can end up hall of fame players. does a dan marino sound familiar to you? he had an okay college career and turned out one of the greats. tom brady? dont be a hypocrite. im done here. no use. you are blinded by something or smoking whatever ricky williams got. p.s. i dont expect a hurricane fan to be a fan of ANY gator.
Dude you are seriously oblivious to what I am saying. Do you see a difference in guys like Marino and Brady compared to Harvin, who had a great college career. I am not a hypocrite for saying Harvin is not a receiver because Ginn is a Dolphin. That is just stupid.
this video has just wasted 2 min of my life, thanks.... **********Automerged Doublepost********** oooh yeah forgot to say that... percy harvin is not better than CJ hes like a younger randy moss soo shhh
